Having a difficult roommate is not exactly an easy road to navigate, which makes it all the more frustrating when your difficult roommate has an even more difficult significant other.

When you sign a lease with a roommate and both parties are single, sure, it's not out of the question that either of your situations will change. That being said, there are boundaries that need to be drawn if those circumstances change. For instance, just because your new roommate deserves to spend time with their significant other in your shared space, that certainly does not give the significant other the right to borrow your belongings without permission or, even worse, eat your food!
